Live Laugh Lobby – Dane Myer’s Shows How a Climate Song Gets Made

We borrowed this from eco-musician Dane Myer’s Instagram account (which is fun to explore!).

Here’s what he has to say about this video:

This year I was invited to attend the Citizens’ Climate Lobby National Conference in Washington, DC. While at the conference I got the idea to make a song and through collaborating with a bunch of people at the conference came up with this song and lyric video.

I made this video to tell the story of how the song came together. Thank you to all of the amazing folks who contributed to this project:

Solemi for letting everyone know that we were making the song and for your constant enthusiasm and can-do spirit.

Lisa for sharing it around early on to help get more participation

Perry for helping to organize the shot at the end with everyone singing on the steps of the Capitol.

Brett for letting me present the song at the end of the conference

Andrew for contributing the piano chords

Chris for bringing his trombone with him to the conference and shredding on the track

Chuck for the acoustic guitar

Don, Steve, Sophie, Dave, Ken, and more for contributing lyrical ideas (I’m sorry I didn’t get everyone’s names I was just too focused on putting together the music.

And all of the attendees who made time to travel to DC and fight for our planet. So thankful for this organization.
